weight loss1I am a busy mum of 3 young boys, the youngest is just 10 months. I have been quite lucky in losing most of my pregnancy weight without having to try too hard, it must be all that running around after the boys. Although I eat healthily I struggle to find time to do any exercise or I’m just to tired to bother. I have still have a bit of a jelly belly and wanted to shift it quickly. A girlfriend suggested i give a detox diet a go and I haven’t looked back since.

I was skeptical about detox diets but then I tried one. A little bit of effort over a short period (I did 2 weeks) and you can get fantastic results.

1. Lose weight

Detoxing is the quickest and easiest way to loose weight. I dropped a dress size in only 2 weeks just by sticking to a detox diet. I was not hungry and it was not difficult. All you have to do it know what foods you can eat and make sure you drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated.

2. More energy

Not only did I lose weight quickly but I felt less tired and much more energetic. I actually had the energy to keep up with my three young children all day long, unlike before when I used to wake up feeling tired already.

3. Looking great

By keeping to the right foods for just two weeks it was amazing just how much better my skin looked.  I got so many comments from friends about how my skin looked healthy and glowing, and my hair felt great too.

4. Inner health

Detoxing actually rids your body of all the toxins you build up. The liver is one of the hardest working organs and by detoxing for 2 weeks, this gives your liver a rest and then it can perform more efficiently.

5. Changing bad habits.

After the detox I became much more aware of what I should be eating, so some of the good habits I’d picked up over the 2 weeks I made sure I kept to.
